Amber Kalal

I am a colored pencil realism artist living and working in Indiana. My work is inspired by the natural world and its beauty. I like to showcase the details and color variations within each subject matter. Colored pencil is a great tool to achieve such things. This medium, while at times slow, allows me to layer and layer the pencil to build up to the desired effect. I am also a big animal lover and started creating portraits of my own dogs. This has lead to me creating commissions of custom pet portraits as gifts or memorials.
